a good first sign

well, i don't know if this blog was the cause for the good fortune, but this morning i got an email from a job i applied for last night asking me to come in for an interview!  the job is a social media director for a credit card processing company, which really looks like a perfect fit for me.  so now, i need to get to the city this weekend.  so i looked up flights.  i'm no millionaire, so that was out.  i thought about taking a bus, but i would rather have my own schedule to adhere to, so i am going to drive up.  this means i have a lot to do before friday when i leave. 

first, i need to not look like a bum.  this means getting a haircut tomorrow and shaving my beard off (for the first time in 3 years!!).  second, i need to get my oil changed (boring).  third, i need to get some kind of kick ass suit.  i have never really bought a suit for myself, so this should be very interesting.  i might have to drag a friend that has style (most likely a girl) along for that one so i don't pick something that a corpse would wear.

when all of this is done, i think i'll be good to go.  i am staying with my friends robbie and dean this weekend, and if all goes well and i get this job, there is a good chance i will end up living with dean, so i am excited to hang out with them.

this is a really boring second post, but mostly because it's all business.  on a funny note, i drank so much coffee this morning that i had to go stand out in the rain because i thought my heart was going to explode.  after further investigation, i learned that my heart did not, in fact, explode.  on an even funnier note, i just made that story up.
